Driving From San Francisco Take the Bay Bridge to 580 to 980 towards downtown Oakland. Second exit is 17th / 18th St. Go straight off the freeway and make your first possible left (17th Street). Go straight up toward downtown, staying on 17th, crossing over San Pablo (by the rear of the ice skating rink), then right on Telegraph, right on 16th. 300 Frank H. Ogawa Plaza is on the left on 16th between Telegraph and San Pablo – as if it were on 16th Street. To park, don’t go as far as Telegraph. But on 17th, beyond San Pablo, on the right, there is a convenient lot. To get to the Communications Technology Cluster’s offices go up the elevators that are directly across from the security station to the 2nd floor. The receptionist will be at the entrance to assist you. Driving From San Jose Take 880 north. At downtown Oakland, merge on to 980 East. Take the 11th Street exit towards 14th Street. Stay straight to go onto Castro Street. Turn right on to 17th street and make your way up toward San Pablo and Telegraph as per above. BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Take either the Richmond or Pittsburgh / Bay Point (Concord) lines to the East Bay and downtown Oakland. Get off BART at 12th St./ Oakland Civic Center. Exit the station at Frank H. Ogawa Plaza (north end, the direction the train is pointing if you’re coming from S.F.) and head down the plaza (staying on the same side of the plaza as the BART stairs -- across from City Hall.) 300 is two buildings down. Go in, past the first bank of elevators, past the stairs to the 2nd bank of elevators on your left in front of the security station. The receptionist will call us. (Note: The stairs do not go to the second floor; you must take the elevator.)
